FAQ
Frequently asked questions about pallets
Here are answers to the most common questions: a EUR-size pallet is 1200×800 mm, a FIN pallet 1200×1000 mm, and ISPM15 requires heat treatment at 56 °C for 30 minutes. If you cannot find an answer, write to aurelia@aurelia.ee.
Ordering
How do I send a quote request?
Build your pallet in the configurator and click “Send quote request”, or write to aurelia@aurelia.ee. We reply within 1 business day.
Why does the configurator not show prices?
The price depends on the timber price, quantity and delivery. We send an exact quote after your request.
Can I share a configuration with a colleague?
Yes. Every configuration has a shareable link that opens the same pallet.
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
To Estonia and Finland. Other countries are agreed in the quote.
How quickly are pallets ready?
The lead time depends on the quantity and construction and is stated in the quote.
EUR-size pallet 1200×800
What size is a EUR-size pallet?
1200 × 800 mm with a height of 144 mm. In the reference version the top boards are 22 mm thick and the blocks 78 mm high.
How much can a EUR-size pallet carry?
The estimated load capacity of the reference configuration is about 1500 kg on a forklift, 4000 kg on the floor and 1000 kg in a rack. The final value is confirmed in the quote.
Can I order the pallet with ISPM15 marking?
Yes. A pallet made from heat-treated wood is marked with the ISPM15 stamp and can be shipped outside the European Union.
How much does the pallet weigh?
The estimated weight of the reference configuration is about 22 kg. The weight depends on the moisture content of the wood.
Can I get the same size as a stronger pallet?
Yes. In the configurator you can choose thicker boards, 12 blocks or a perimeter base and see straight away how the load capacity changes.
What is the difference between a EUR-size and a FIN pallet?
The length is the same, 1200 mm, but the FIN pallet is 200 mm wider (1000 mm). It carries more goods and is common in the Nordic countries.
FIN pallet 1200×1000
What size is a FIN pallet?
1200 × 1000 mm, usually 144 mm high.
How much can a FIN pallet carry?
The configurator estimate for the reference version is about 1600 kg on a forklift and 4800 kg on the floor. The final load capacity is confirmed in the quote.
Where is the FIN pallet used?
Mainly in Finland and the other Nordic countries: building materials, paper, chemicals and industrial goods stored in 1000 mm deep racks.
Does a FIN pallet fit a rack built for EUR-size pallets?
Usually not. A width of 1000 mm does not fit an 800 mm deep rack. Check the rack size before ordering.
Is the FIN pallet available with ISPM15 marking?
Yes, made from heat-treated wood and stamped with the ISPM15 mark.
Do you deliver FIN pallets to Finland?
Yes. Finland is our main export market.
Custom pallets
What sizes can I order?
Length and width from 400 to 3000 mm, in steps of 10 mm.
Can I send my own drawing?
Yes. You can attach a drawing or photo to the quote request and we will take it into account in the quote.
How heavy a load can you build a pallet for?
Load capacity depends on dimensions and construction. The configurator shows an estimate straight away, and if needed we reinforce the pallet with thicker boards or extra blocks.
Is a custom pallet more expensive?
The price depends on the timber volume and the quantity. The configurator does not show prices; we send a quote after your request.
Can my logo be put on the pallet?
Yes, your logo can be stamped on the blocks. Choose “Logo stamp” in the configurator.
Can a custom pallet have ISPM15 marking?
Yes, every pallet made from heat-treated wood can have ISPM15 marking.
Wooden crates
What sizes of crates do you make?
Inner length and width 400–3000 mm, inner height 150–2500 mm.
Is the crate suitable for export outside the EU?
Yes, if it is made from heat-treated wood and marked with the ISPM15 stamp.
How is the product secured in the crate?
It depends on the product. Describe the fixing points in your quote request or attach a drawing.
Can the crate be collapsible?
Describe what you need in the quote request and we will check whether it suits your product.
Does the crate have a lid?
Yes, the configurator crate has a lid and walls with vertical cleats.
How heavy a product can the crate take?
The load capacity of the crate base is calculated in the same way as for a pallet and is shown in the configurator.
ISPM15
What is ISPM15?
An international phytosanitary standard that requires wood packaging to be heat-treated and marked so that pests do not spread between countries.
Is ISPM15 required within the EU?
Generally not. It is required for shipments to countries that apply the standard, such as the USA, China, Japan and the United Kingdom.
What does HT mean?
Heat treatment: the core of the wood has been kept at a minimum of 56 °C for at least 30 minutes.
Do plywood or pressed chipwood need treatment?
No. Processed wood materials such as plywood and pressed chipwood blocks are outside the scope of ISPM15.
What happens if the mark is missing?
At the border of the destination country the shipment may be held, and the packaging destroyed or returned at the sender's expense.
Can an ISPM15-marked pallet be used within the EU?
Yes, the marking does not restrict use anywhere.
